The Ondo State Government has officially dismissed claims that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is engaging in anti-party activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, calling the allegations false and politically motivated.

The controversy arose after photos surfaced showing the governor meeting with ADC candidate Senator Ayo Akinyelure at the Government House Chapel in Akure.

In a press briefing, Chief Press Secretary Ebenezer Adeniyan clarified that the meeting was a normal act of courtesy, as the chapel is a public space open to all citizens and officials.The government emphasized that Senator Akinyelure attended the chapel for worship and to express appreciation for Aiyedatiwa's birthday message.

They stressed that the governor remains fully committed to the APC and its candidates, vowing to work with party structures to ensure APC wins all elections in Ondo State.

The statement urged members to ignore attempts to create division within the ruling party, highlighting Aiyedatiwa's focus on governance and development.
