Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has expanded the state’s executive ministries from 18 to 23 as part of structural reforms aimed at improving service delivery.

The new cabinet includes portfolios like the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, and the Ministry of Livestock Development, which aligns with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.The swearing-in ceremony at the International Conference Centre saw 23 commissioners, 13 special advisers, and key officials take their oaths.Governor Yahaya emphasized inclusive governance by selecting cabinet members from all local government areas, stressing competence and diversity.He warned against corruption and urged officials to focus on verifiable performance within the remaining 10 months of his tenure.

The Head of Civil Service, Mu’azu Shehu, announced plans to digitize public services, while officials pledged to deliver infrastructure projects ahead of 2027.This move reflects Gombe’s commitment to economic growth and administrative efficiency.
