The Oduduwa Citizen Liberation Vanguard (OCLV) has warned the Ekiti State Government against interfering with the traditional chieftaincy selection process for the new Alara of Aramoko-Ekiti.

The group emphasized that any attempt to amend the Chieftaincy Declaration or alter the existing procedures could lead to legal disputes and community tension.OCLV highlighted that the selection involved eight candidates from the Olokun Ruling House, including Ifa divination to narrow down three finalists.The 12 recognized Kingmakers then voted, with Prince Oluwafemi Akinlabi and Prince Tope Ademiluyi each receiving six votes.The group stressed that the process was supervised by government officials and should not be disrupted.They rejected claims of contestant inducements and called for investigations into any allegations.OCLV urged Governor Biodun Oyebanji to ensure the selection adheres strictly to the law and traditional practices, avoiding political interference.
