The Labour Party (LP) has confirmed it received the access code needed to upload candidates' details for the 2027 governorship and State House of Assembly elections.

National Publicity Secretary Ken Asogwa stated the upload process began on Saturday and progressed smoothly, with many candidates already uploaded to INEC's portal.

He emphasized the party is working to meet INEC's deadlines, noting earlier challenges faced by multiple parties due to name discrepancies between internal lists and INEC records.The LP assured members and candidates that the submission process will follow INEC guidelines.

While the party didn't reveal specific candidates or states involved, they highlighted that issues with name harmonization affected several parties, not just Labour.INEC had set strict deadlines for candidate submissions, and the LP is ensuring all data is uploaded correctly within the timeframe.This development marks a key step in the electoral process, with ongoing efforts to resolve administrative hurdles for political parties.
