The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has summoned Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, to investigate allegations linked to a fraudulent agency called PFIPC.

The probe follows claims by Adeniyi Adeyemi, who alleged he paid N400 million in bribes to establish the non-existent agency, including money directed to Gbajabiamila.Gbajabiamila denies receiving any bribe and claims he reported Adeyemi to police.

The ICPC is examining how the PFIPC operated within federal bureaucracy without legal authorization, using official documents to secure office space, budget allocations, and public servants.The scandal has triggered legal battles, with Gbajabiamila filing a N15 billion defamation suit against Adeyemi.Adeyemi faces eight charges of fraud and forgery, including falsely presenting himself as the agency's director-general.

The ICPC emphasized that Gbajabiamila’s appearance was voluntary, not an arrest, and confirmed the investigation is ongoing with further updates pending.
