Atiku Abubakar Wins ADC Presidential Primary Ahead of 2027 General Election
Former House of Representatives member, Isah Ashiru, don finally emerge as the governorship candidate for African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Kaduna State after the party primary.Ashiru wey once represent Makarfi/Kudan Federal Constituency collect total of 86,113 votes during the exercise.
However, former Kaduna State Commissioner for Education, Uba Sani, wey come second with 29,580 votes, sharply reject the result as 'manipulated' and talk say e plenty irregularities happen for the primary.
Sani specifically raise issues for areas like Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Kaduna North and Kauru, where he claim say no proper election take place and some results never ready before announcement.Despite the wahala, Sani advise him supporters make dem cool down and no cause gbege, and him talk say any next move go follow proper channels.Other aspirants wey contest include Mohammed Bello (13,559 votes), Ahmed Tijjani (13,550 votes), and Shuaibu Mikati (10,819 votes).
Ashiru, wey don contest governorship under PDP before, wey finish second for 2023 election with over 719,000 votes, dey still seen as strong opposition figure wey fit challenge APC for 2027 polls.The primary controversy dey show say party internal elections fit still face issues even as prominent politicians dey try secure their positions.
