Kacey Musgraves cancels three additional US tour dates while the rest of her tour schedule remains unchanged

Kacey Musgraves has cancelled three dates on her upcoming 'Middle Of Nowhere' US tour without providing a public explanation. The affected concerts are the originally scheduled opening night at Chicago's United Center on 20 August, a performance at Boston's TD Garden on 29 August and a show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on 2 September. These concerts were all extra dates that had been added after the initial tour announcement.Despite the cancellations, the remainder of the tour currently appears to be unaffected.

Musgraves is still expected to perform in Chicago on 21 August, Boston on 28 August and New York City's Madison Square Garden on 31 August and 1 September.Fans with tickets for the cancelled performances have already been notified by email and provided with refund information. At the time the article was published, the singer had not issued any statement explaining why the three concerts had been removed from the schedule. Her official tour page continues to list the remaining dates, and tickets are still available for the unaffected performances. The tour supports Musgraves' seventh studio album, 'Middle Of Nowhere', released in May through Lost Highway Records.

The album features collaborations with Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Billy Strings and Gregory Alan Isakov, and has received positive critical attention, including recognition as one of the year's standout releases.

Ahead of the album's launch, Musgraves introduced new material during a surprise appearance at Coachella 2026, later promoted the record with a playful publicity stunt involving an armadillo costume, and performed the song 'Dry Spell' at the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards.
