The prime suspect in the murder of three men in Kiambu County has been transferred to Kiambu Police Station as detectives seek more time to conclude investigations.

Police confirmed the suspect was arrested by security agencies in Mathira East Sub-county, Nyeri County, and tracked down at Githima B Village in Giakaibei Sublocation, Gathehu Location following an intensive manhunt.The three victims—Kennedy Mambo, John Kamau, and Cyrus Muchiri—were found dead at Muthithi Estate in Kiambu Town on July 21, 2026.The suspect, who was dismissed from his job as caretaker over theft allegations, is alleged to have killed the men at a construction site.Police are investigating whether the suspect attacked the victims after being fired.

Meanwhile, other incidents include the murder of 80-year-old Paul Kibuthu Kanyiria in Nyandarua County and a fatal clash during a community construction project in Kayole.The victims' families and police are working to uncover the full details of these tragic events.
