Lieutenant General Michael Logico has officially assumed his role as the 86th Superintendent of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), succeeding Vice Admiral Caesar Bernard Valencia in a formal change of command and retirement ceremony held at Fort General Gregorio H.del Pilar in Baguio City.The ceremony was presided over by Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Antonio Nafarrete.

Logico is a member of the PMA 'Maalab' Class of 1993 and previously served as commander of the Philippine Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

Throughout his military career, he has held several key leadership positions involving military training, doctrine development, joint exercises, and special operations, making him well-qualified to lead the country's premier military academy.

During the ceremony, General Nafarrete highlighted the PMA's vital responsibility in preparing future officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, stressing that the academy plays a crucial role in shaping leaders who will protect the country's sovereignty and uphold the trust of the Filipino people.
