In a tragic incident late Friday night, Ishan Mehra, 32, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the National Investigation Agency (NIA), lost his life when his superbike collided with a container truck on the Delhi-Lucknow national highway within Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh.Mehra, a resident of Mohali in Punjab, was serving at the NIA's Delhi office.He was en route to Bajpur in Uttarakhand along with a friend when the accident occurred around 11.30 pm under the jurisdiction of Katghar police station.According to police reports, Mehra was riding a high-performance motorcycle that rammed into the rear of the truck.The impact was so severe that the bike was completely mangled, leaving no chance for survival.Senior police officials confirmed the details, expressing shock over the incident.Local authorities have initiated investigations into the accident, focusing on road safety and the circumstances leading to the collision.Mehra’s colleagues and friends mourn his sudden demise, highlighting his dedication to law enforcement and national security duties.This accident underscores the dangers faced by officials even while travelling for personal or official purposes.
