Dr.Mustapha Abdullahi, Director-General of Nigeria's Energy Commission, launched the Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship (MAELF) 2026, a week-long program to train over 80 young Nigerians in energy leadership and innovation.

The initiative, sponsored by the DAM Foundation and APC Youth Wing, focused on leadership skills, policy, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.Fellows engaged in workshops, mentorship, and networking with experts in energy and governance.The program culminated in a graduation ceremony with startup grants totaling over ₦17 million.Abdullahi emphasized the need for ethical, innovative leaders to drive Nigeria's energy transition and national growth.He urged participants to prioritize integrity and collaboration, stressing that the fellowship should inspire lifelong commitment to development.The event highlights Nigeria's push to cultivate youth-driven solutions for energy and economic challenges.
