The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has distanced itself from former Energy and Mineral Resources Commissioner Rasaq Obe following his public comments suggesting President Bola Tinubu might lose the 2027 presidential election.

Obe, who lost the party's ticket to Festus Akingbaso in the Ifedore/Idanre Federal Constituency, claimed during a press meeting that the APC's decision to drop some aspirants backed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa could jeopardize Tinubu's chances.State Chairman Hon Kolawole Babatunde clarified that Obe was speaking as an individual and his views did not represent the party's stance.

Babatunde emphasized that internal disagreements are normal political processes and highlighted the establishment of a reconciliation committee to address grievances from recent primaries.

The APC remains confident in its support for Tinubu, citing the Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Aiyedatiwa's 'OUR EASE' initiatives as key drivers of popularity.The party aims to secure one million votes for Tinubu in 2027 through coordinated grassroots efforts.
