The Ondo State Governor has launched an initiative to recognize academic excellence by awarding jobs and financial incentives to outstanding NYSC awardees, teachers, and students.

During a ceremonial event, the governor announced that seven NYSC awardees will receive automatic job approvals as part of efforts to boost youth employment.Additionally, over 100 teachers and students were recognized for their academic achievements, with cash rewards and scholarships offered.The Governor emphasized that this initiative aligns with his vision to prioritize education and human capital development in the state.

Education Commissioner Igbekele Ajibefun highlighted the program's goal to inspire students by showcasing role models and fostering a culture of excellence.

The event also included plans to compile names of other academically outstanding citizens for future recognition, reflecting the government's commitment to long-term educational investment.This move is expected to enhance motivation among students and educators while addressing youth unemployment challenges in Ondo State.
