A group of 44 pupils and teachers kidnapped from three schools in Oyo State were safely rescued after a 56-day intelligence-led operation by Nigerian security agencies.

The rescue operation, involving the Nigerian Army, DSS, Police Force, and other agencies, led to the arrest of eight suspected kidnappers and the neutralisation of some terrorists.The operation avoided ransom demands and ensured the safe release of all victims.

The incident, which sparked public protests and anxiety, ended with the successful recovery of the abducted individuals, marking a significant victory for security forces.
