Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Mr Peter Obi, has criticized Nigeria's political parties for lacking ideology and accused the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, of absolving corrupt politicians who defect to the party.

Obi dismissed claims that President Bola Tinubu's endorsement by 36 governors guarantees victory in the 2027 election, arguing governors don't necessarily represent the people's will.He accused the APC of destabilizing opposition parties, comparing the situation in the ADC and NDC to the Labour Party's collapse.Obi emphasized the need for free, fair, and credible elections, urging youths to demand accountability.

He highlighted Yar'Adua's past commitment to democratic processes and warned that current political instability stems from leaders refusing to allow stability.Obi pledged to support opposition parties, remove restrictions on their operations, and ensure the regulator focuses solely on conducting elections.

He also criticized the APC's ideology, suggesting it condones corruption for those who join, and called for competent, compassionate leaders to address Nigeria's challenges.
