A physiotherapist named Mary Habila was found dead in the residence of Nigeria's Works Minister David Umahi under unclear circumstances.SaharaReporters reports that her body was discovered naked when removed from the minister's home in Uburu, Ebonyi State.The incident has sparked public concern and calls for transparency.

According to police sources, Habila and another woman, Anita Baski, were brought to the residence on June 26 from Kaduna State to attend to the minister.Investigators are still determining the cause of death, which occurred on June 27.

The minister's office confirmed the incident and stated emergency measures were taken, including contacting medical personnel and notifying the police.However, the family initially refused an autopsy.The case has been transferred to Ebonyi State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further probe.

Public scrutiny remains high due to questions about why staff from a university hospital were seconded to the minister's residence without official reasons.
