Prince Dube leaves Yanga to join Hardrock FC in Zimbabwe transfer
Zimbabwe international striker Prince Dube has officially ended his stay with Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC (Yanga) after completing a move to newly promoted Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League side Hardrock FC.
The 28-year-old forward signed a two-year contract with Hardrock FC after his deal with Yanga expired at the end of the 2025/2026 season, bringing his two-year spell in Tanzania to a close.His departure comes after negotiations for a contract extension with Yanga did not result in an agreement, allowing him to leave as a free agent.Dube joined Yanga ahead of the 2024/2025 season after leaving Azam FC and quickly became an important attacking player for the club.
During the recently concluded 2025/2026 NBC Premier League season, he scored 10 league goals and remained among the team’s top scorers, helping Yanga compete strongly in domestic and continental competitions.
His performances also attracted interest from several clubs outside Tanzania, including reported offers from Libya’s Al Ittihad and South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs, with significant transfer values mentioned in media reports.
In an emotional farewell message, Dube expressed deep gratitude to Yanga supporters, staff, and leadership, describing the club as a family that supported him during key moments of his career.He specifically thanked club benefactor GSM, club president Hersi Said, teammates, coaches, his family, and fans for their support.
Despite interest from other major clubs, he opted to return to Zimbabwe, where Hardrock FC—currently performing strongly in their debut top-flight season—secured his signature.
The club sits near the top of the league table and hopes Dube’s experience will strengthen their push for the title in the remaining matches of the season.
