Senator Sunday Katung, representing Kaduna South, has called on the public to remain calm and respect the family's wishes following the tragic death of Mary Habila.
In a statement by his media adviser, Midat Joseph, Katung urged citizens to avoid actions or statements that could escalate tensions or disrupt public peace.

The senator also highlighted the family's desire for private mourning and a dignified burial, stressing that they do not want intrusion or recrimination from the incident.
Katung extended his condolences to the family and expressed hope that authorities would conduct a thorough, impartial investigation into the circumstances of Habila's death.He assured the family of his office's commitment to ensuring they receive fair treatment and achieve closure.Habila was part of a medical team accompanying Minister David Umahi to his hometown, where she was allegedly found dead in his residential compound.The police have launched a probe into her death, with Umahi demanding a forensic inquiry.The senator's appeal also includes his colleagues in the National Assembly and well-wishers both inside and outside Nigeria seeking answers.The incident has left the Kaduna South community in mourning, with the family's wishes being central to the ongoing discussions.
