The South African Police Service (SAPS) is conducting an investigation into how Interpol fugitive Ndodana Tshuma, accused of murdering his wife and two children in England, may have entered South Africa before his arrest in Johannesburg.Tshuma, a 45-year-old Zimbabwean, is believed to have arrived in the country on 5 July 2026.Police confirmed he was found in possession of a firearm during his arrest.

The Organised Crime Unit is collaborating with Interpol to trace his travel route, identify his accommodation during evasion, and assess if he received assistance post-entry.While authorities initially thought he fled to Zimbabwe, evidence now points to his presence in South Africa.

SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe noted that Tshuma stayed with family members but did not disclose the source of the tip leading to his arrest.The case has sparked community grief, with colleagues and educators mourning the loss of Nala and Natalie, who were victims of the tragedy.The investigation continues to examine his movements and potential accomplices.
