Super Typhoon Bavi, which intensified rapidly from a typhoon to a super typhoon outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on July 3, 2026, is expected to enter the PAR by July 8.PAGASA reported that Bavi's maximum sustained winds reached 185 km/h with gusts up to 230 km/h, qualifying it as a super typhoon.The Japan Meteorological Agency noted explosive intensification over the past 12 hours.Bavi, located 3,090 km east of Eastern Visayas, is moving west at 20 km/h.If it enters the PAR, it will be named Inday.
