A survivor of a brutal attack in Kum village, Rim District, Plateau State, has shared harrowing details of how nine family members were killed during the assault.

James Yohanna, one of three survivors, described the attack as terrifying, with assailants speaking Fulfulde and targeting his household due to his connection with Rev.Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations.The violence began at 11:30 pm when Yohanna heard dogs barking and boots trampling.Attackers first targeted his brother, who was injured while trying to escape but managed to hide.The assailants then demanded the location of the family head, leading to a deadly confrontation.Yohanna escaped through a window with his six-year-old daughter, hiding until the attackers left.Soldiers later arrived, allowing him to return and discover nine family members dead, including his wife, son, daughters, and granddaughter.The incident has left the community devastated, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the region.
