Tanzania has officially appointed Terence “Bud” Crawford, the American boxing champion, as its new Tourism Ambassador.The announcement was made by the Minister for Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr.Ashatu Kijaji, during Crawford’s visit to Serengeti National Park.

Crawford got a firsthand experience of the country’s most famous attractions, including Serengeti, Mount Kilimanjaro, Zanzibar beaches, and Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The government hopes to use his global popularity and social media reach to attract more international visitors and raise awareness of Tanzania’s diverse tourism offerings.
