An 18-year-old teenager has appeared in court in Scotland charged with attempted murder following an incident in which a 49-year-old woman was struck by a car in Linwood, Renfrewshire.The alleged incident took place on Tuesday afternoon at around 3.45pm on Clippens Road, near a bus stop.Emergency services were called to the scene after the woman was injured in the collision.She was taken to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and was later discharged.The accused, identified as Liam MacLeod, was arrested and formally charged in connection with the incident.He appeared before Paisley Sheriff Court, where he made no plea.
