Man hospitalised after stabbing near Emirates Stadium as 16 arrested during Arsenal title parade
Three people, including a child, died after falling from a high-rise residential building in Elephant and Castle, south London, on Wednesday morning.Emergency services were called to Churchyard Row at approximately 07:29 BST following reports that several people had fallen from height.
Metropolitan Police officers attended the scene alongside crews from the London Ambulance Service, London’s Air Ambulance and the London Fire Brigade.A man, a woman and a child were found at the location.Despite extensive efforts by paramedics and emergency responders to resuscitate them, all three were pronounced dead at the scene.Police said the deaths are currently being treated as unexpected and confirmed that no other injuries had been reported.
Formal identification procedures are under way and relatives of the deceased have been informed, with specialist officers providing support to the families.According to the London Ambulance Service, emergency crews arrived within four minutes of being alerted.Witnesses described seeing a major emergency response outside the building, including paramedics carrying out CPR attempts during the morning.
Residents of the tower block received communication from the building management company, Uncle, which stated that police remained on site and that the company was cooperating fully with authorities.The message reassured tenants that the building itself was considered safe and operating normally despite the incident.
Local residents said many international students live in the building and noted that limited information had been shared with tenants while investigations continued.Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
