Three separate road accidents occurred across Uttarakhand’s Kumaon region on Friday, resulting in four fatalities and two injuries.In Udham Singh Nagar district, a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a car near Bidora-Majhola left two unidentified men dead, with locals alerting authorities and emergency services.The victims, suspected to be Nepalese nationals, were identified post-mortem, and the car driver fled the scene.
In Nainital district, a 15-year-old boy and a teenager were killed and injured when their motorcycle collided with a canter truck near Gorapadav petrol pump.The canter driver was impounded, and an FIR was registered.Separately, a dumper hit a motorcycle near Gaibua, killing 30-year-old Kamlesh Arya and injuring his pillion rider.Police are investigating all incidents to determine causes and trace fleeing drivers.The accidents highlight ongoing safety concerns and the need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules in the region.
