Acting Military Information Officer, Captain Mohammed Goni, revealed that troops acted on credible intel about two Volkswagen Golf vehicles and motorcycles carrying suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists planning to extort communities.A swift patrol by Forward Operating Base (FOB) Bukarti and 27 Task Force Brigade led to a confrontation where terrorists were neutralized.One vehicle was immobilized, and four terrorists fled with injuries.

Follow-up operations recovered the vehicle, 25 rounds of belted PKT ammunition, an AK-47 magazine, drugs like paracetamol and nicotine products, and tools used for logistics.The Army remains committed to crushing terrorist networks through intelligence-driven operations, collaborating with security agencies and citizens.This incident underscores ongoing efforts to restore peace and security in the region by dismantling terrorist infrastructure.
