The University of Nigeria (UNN) is set to graduate 12,895 students in its 55th Convocation, with 168 receiving First Class honours.Vice-Chancellor Simon Ortuanya revealed this during a press briefing at the Business School Auditorium, Enugu Campus.

The graduates include 10,641 first-degree recipients, 2,944 higher-degree candidates (1,390 doctoral, 1,340 master’s, 214 postgraduate diplomas), and four honorary doctorates awarded to distinguished personalities like First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and William Richardson.The convocation also honors two professors emeritus, Peter-Jazzy Ezeh and Boniface Okere.Ortuanya highlighted infrastructure projects like hostel rehabilitation, Senate Building restoration, and expanded MBBS and dentistry admissions.He emphasized UNN's commitment to becoming a global institution through research, digital innovation, and community engagement.

The event marks a milestone in academic excellence and reflects the university's efforts to improve facilities and academic standards for future generations.
