Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, the APC governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Nasarawa State, has made a strong appeal for peace, unity, and reconciliation within the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During a thank-you visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule at the Government House in Lafia after emerging as the party’s flag bearer, Wadada used the opportunity to address internal party tensions and call for healing after the primary election. The meeting brought together key APC stakeholders, government officials, and supporters across the state.Governor Sule welcomed the delegation warmly and described the development as a positive step for the party. He reaffirmed his backing for Wadada’s candidacy and expressed confidence that the APC would perform strongly in the 2027 elections.
The governor also urged party members to avoid hostility or resentment toward those who participated in the primaries, stressing that everyone remains part of the same political family in Nasarawa State.
Wadada, while speaking, reminded supporters of his own experience in past internal party contests, noting that he had previously accepted defeat and still worked for the success of the APC.
Based on that, he extended a reconciliation message to former Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu Abubakar, who also contested the APC governorship primary.Wadada appealed to him to return to the party and support its collective mission rather than remain outside it.
He emphasized that political rivals should not be seen as enemies, stressing the importance of love, caution, and unity in building a stronger APC in Nasarawa State. His message was centered on reconciliation, party cohesion, and preparing the ground for a united front ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
