Wajackoyah alleges vote rigging in 2022 election and outlines bold 2027 presidential plans

Former Kenyan presidential candidate and Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah has made fresh allegations regarding the 2022 General Election, claiming that 2.8 million of his votes were allegedly stolen.

Speaking during a televised interview, he argued that the missing votes played a key role in influencing the final outcome of the election, which saw President William Ruto declared winner.Wajackoyah further alleged that he received this information from unnamed foreign embassy officials, though he did not disclose the country involved. He went on to claim that some of his votes were indirectly transferred to Ruto, a statement that has sparked political debate.

In the same interview, Wajackoyah also repeated controversial spiritual claims, saying he communicates spiritually with opposition leader Raila Odinga.

He described himself as a spiritual figure and referenced past court involvement in the case of self-proclaimed preacher Eliud Wekesa, popularly known as 'Yesu wa Tongaren', claiming he defended him in court.Looking ahead to the 2027 presidential race, Wajackoyah outlined an ambitious reform agenda.

His proposals include legalising industrial hemp, using Galana Kulalu land for large-scale hemp farming, relocating Kenya’s capital city from Nairobi to Isiolo, and moving Parliament to Nakuru.

He also proposed strict anti-corruption measures, including the death penalty for major corruption offenders, and the abolition of CDF and sitting allowances.Wajackoyah further emphasised the need for constitutional reforms, including regionalisation of Kenya into multiple semi-autonomous states. He insisted that industrial hemp could generate significant revenue to help clear national debt and boost infrastructure development. His remarks continue to generate mixed reactions across Kenya’s political landscape.
