The Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) has criticized the Jubilee Party for its inconsistent approach to political unity and economic management.DCP secretary general John Methu accused Jubilee of hypocrisy after the party criticized former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua's call for tourists and investors to avoid Kenya until after the 2027 General Election.

Methu highlighted Jubilee's actions during the Ol Kalou parliamentary by-election, where the party fielded a rival candidate against DCP, contradicting its recent calls for opposition unity.He argued that Jubilee's decision to prioritize competition over cooperation undermines its credibility to lecture others on unity.

Methu also criticized Jubilee's economic record, accusing the party of presiding over rising public debt and worsening living costs during its decade in power.

Jubilee's statement acknowledged concerns about insecurity but warned against statements that could harm Kenya's tourism and investment image.The party emphasized the need for political leaders to avoid remarks that could damage the country's reputation as a business destination.
