Dubai and Tanzania Strengthen Tourism Collaboration for Mutual Growth

Dubai is intensifying efforts to enhance its tourism partnership with Tanzania, aiming to boost visitor numbers through collaboration with local travel industry stakeholders.

During a recent roadshow in Dar es Salaam, representatives from the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing outlined plans to deepen ties with Tanzanian tour operators, airlines, media, and other professionals.

This initiative highlights Tanzania's growing importance as a source market for African tourism, driven by expanding outbound travel demand and historical trade connections between the two nations.

With 33 weekly direct flights linking Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar to Dubai, air connectivity remains a key advantage supporting bilateral tourism growth. In 2025, Africa contributed 897,000 visitors to Dubai, with Tanzania identified as a priority market for future expansion.

The emirate's appeal lies in its value-for-money experiences, cultural authenticity, family-friendly attractions, and extensive shopping opportunities.

Looking ahead, Dubai plans to introduce new attractions and host major events like the Dubai Fitness Challenge while maintaining its reputation as a safe, stable destination.

Beyond tourism, Dubai is positioning itself as a strategic gateway for trade and investment, offering Tanzanian entrepreneurs access to global markets through shared expertise and international networks.
