According to reliable sources, the National Counter Corruption and Intelligence Agency has recovered more than 100GB of important data from the mobile phone of Anmol alias Pinky, who was arrested on serious drug trafficking charges in Karachi.The forensic report, which has been handed over to the investigating officer, shows a large amount of evidence.This includes over 75,000 photographs and images, screenshots of bank slips showing payments from clients, and records of online transactions.Investigators also found 13,000 contacts and 42,000 call logs on the device.Sources say Anmol was running two separate WhatsApp accounts on the same phone, which police believe she used to manage her networks secretly.She was arrested on 12th May from her apartment in Garden area during a joint raid.At that time, weapons, cocaine and other drugs worth Rs1.5 million were recovered from her.Anmol has denied the allegations and claimed she was first detained in Lahore before being shifted to Karachi.The case has attracted big attention as Sindh IGP Javed Alam Odho mentioned that several prominent names may come out during the investigations.Multiple agencies including ANF, FIA and NCCIA are involved in probing the drug network, banking transactions and online sales.A local court has sent her to jail on judicial remand.This development highlights the use of digital forensics in fighting organised crime in Pakistan.
