Julian Lennon, the 63-year-old musician and son of Beatles legend John Lennon, has revealed that he has been diagnosed with coronary heart disease and has also been identified as pre-diabetic.

Sharing his experience on social media, Lennon emphasised the importance of early health screenings, advising people to get checked even if they lead a healthy lifestyle.He expressed relief that his condition was detected early enough to allow for some reversal of damage and hopes to maintain a long, healthy life.

This announcement follows previous serious health scares, including emergency surgeries for cancerous growths on his head in 2020 and 2024, both of which were successful.Lennon also addressed his close relationship with his half-brother Sean Ono Lennon, rejecting rumours of any feud and confirming their strong bond.

He reflected on his feelings about the Beatles’ song 'Hey Jude', acknowledging a complex, 'love-hate' relationship with the track due to its connection with family history.
