ADP presidential candidate Aliyu Bin Abbas unveiled in Kano, pledges national renewal ahead of 2027 polls
The senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Olajide Ipinsagba, has appealed to aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to accept the outcome of the party's National Assembly primary election and work together ahead of the 2027 general elections.
His appeal follows protests by some party members in Akure, who alleged that the list of National Assembly candidates released by the APC National Working Committee and forwarded to the Independent National Electoral Commission did not reflect the actual results of the primaries.
Responding to the growing disagreement within the party, Ipinsagba urged members to put aside their grievances, embrace reconciliation and prioritise the unity of the APC.
According to him, party cohesion is necessary to secure victory in the forthcoming presidential, National Assembly and state House of Assembly elections. He said unity remains the foundation for sustaining the party's electoral success and ensuring that democratic benefits reach the people.
The senator also praised President Bola Tinubu for what he described as his political wisdom during the APC nomination process, saying it demonstrated commitment to democracy, fairness and internal party stability.
He further encouraged party stakeholders to continue supporting the President's Renewed Hope Agenda, expressing confidence that the administration would implement policies capable of promoting economic growth, national development and lasting peace across Nigeria.
Ipinsagba equally appreciated party leaders, delegates, grassroots supporters, youths, women and political associates across the six local government areas of Ondo North for standing by him during the primary election and throughout his time in the Senate.
He reaffirmed his commitment to remaining accessible to his constituents while pursuing policies that will improve infrastructure, empower young people and women, strengthen socio-economic development and promote the welfare of residents in the district.
