Migrant workers face severe occupational risks in sectors like construction, retail, and automobiles, where inadequate safety measures, extreme temperatures, and long working hours contribute to health issues.Many workers endure temperatures exceeding 45°C, leading to severe health complications.The Telangana NRI Cell highlighted poor safety training, lack of protective gear, and delayed salary payments as key factors.

The government has established Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendras in key locations to support workers, but migrant welfare associations criticize the insufficient measures to address systemic safety lapses and poor working conditions.
