The Nigeria Women Football League don announce say Port Harcourt go be the host city for the 2026 Premiership Super Six tournament, e go be the first time Rivers State dey host the season-ending competition.The tournament go run from Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 14, 2026, wey six clubs go compete for the league title at the end of the 2025/26 season.

According to NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, Rivers State government don always support women football, plus dem host the league’s Annual General Assembly successfully last year.

The competition go feature the top three teams from Group A and B, wey go play in round-robin format, each club go play five matches inside nine days.Teams wey qualify include defending champions Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, Robo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and debutants Abia Angels.Over the last five seasons, NWFL Premiership don produce four different winners, showing say competition dey fierce.
