Security Forces Eliminate 129 Terrorists in Balochistan During Operation Shaban
Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu district and its surrounding areas have successfully neutralized 24 terrorists linked to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban (TTP), according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The operation, part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the 'Azm-i-Istehkam' initiative, followed intelligence-based actions that resulted in the seizure of weapons and ammunition.The ISPR report highlighted a recent surge in terrorist activities, including suicide bombings targeting law enforcement and civilians.
The operation in Bannu involved coordinated efforts between security forces and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), leading to the elimination of 24 militants and the arrest of several others.
During a separate CTD operation in the Gulbahar area, five terrorists were killed and multiple weapons, including Kalashnikovs, RPGs, and hand grenades, were recovered.
The statement emphasized the commitment to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism, with authorities vowing to continue operations against perpetrators.
