Tanzania advocates for global collaboration on AI governance to ensure equitable development

The government is investing in digital infrastructure like the National ICT Broadband Backbone (NICTBB) and Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) to expand AI access.

Kairuki called for collaboration with organizations like the ITU, AU, and EAC to create interoperable digital ecosystems while safeguarding sovereignty.

She stressed the importance of technology transfer, skills development, and cross-border innovation to bridge the digital divide and ensure equitable AI benefits for all nations.
